Corvette Racing Builds Championship Momentum in 2026

Strong Start to 2026 Campaign for PMM

As the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season approaches its midpoint, Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports has once again established itself as one of the premier programs in sports car racing.

Through the opening four rounds of the 2026 season, the Corvette Z06 GT3.R has consistently battled at the front of the GTD PRO field, earning podium finishes, a hometown victory in Detroit, and placing both Pratt Miller entries firmly in championship contention.

The season opened with solid performances at Daytona and Sebring, where Corvette Racing demonstrated the reliability and consistency that have long been hallmarks of the program. At Sebring's grueling 12-hour endurance classic, the No. 4 Corvette of Tommy Milner, Nicky Catsburg, and Nico Varrone led the sister No. 3 entry home as the team secured valuable championship points against one of the deepest GT fields in recent memory.

At Laguna Seca, Corvette Racing remained in the hunt throughout the weekend. Milner and Catsburg delivered a runner-up finish after an intense battle with Ford, while Antonio Garcia and Alexander Sims narrowly missed the podium after another competitive performance.

The breakthrough moment came at the Detroit Grand Prix. Racing on Chevrolet's home turf, Garcia and Sims converted pole position into a hard-fought victory, delivering Corvette Racing's first IMSA points-race win in Detroit since 2008. Leading 73 of 79 laps, the pair navigated multiple late-race cautions and heavy pressure from behind to secure one of the team's most significant victories of the season.

Perhaps most impressive has been the consistency across the entire two-car operation. Entering the summer portion of the schedule, the No. 4 Corvette leads the GTD PRO team championship, while the No. 3 Corvette remains firmly within striking distance. Together, the two entries have positioned Pratt Miller Motorsports as one of the favorites in the title fight as the season heads toward Watkins Glen, Road America, VIR, Indianapolis, and Road Atlanta.

Championship-caliber results rarely happen by accident. They are the product of talented people, relentless preparation, and a culture committed to continuous improvement. To gain a deeper understanding of what makes Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports one of the premier teams in sports car racing, we recently sat down with Team Manager Ben Bode. From his personal journey in motorsports to the leadership, teamwork, and behind-the-scenes execution required to compete for wins every weekend, Ben offered a fascinating look inside one of racing's most respected organizations.
