CLUB RULES & REGULATIONS

This page provides a summary of commonly applicable rules and requirements for Motorsports Gateway Howell Drivers Club. It is intended as a convenient reference and does not replace the Membership Agreement, official Rules & Regulations, posted rules, driver briefings, or instructions from Club Staff.

In the event of a conflict, the applicable Membership Documents and instructions issued by the Club will govern. Requirements may vary based on the activity, event, vehicle, track conditions, or operational needs.

KNOW BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Before visiting or participating in a driving session, please keep these essential requirements in mind:

Registration & Waivers
All Members, Membership Users, Guests, drivers, and passengers must complete applicable registration, credentialing, waivers, and other required documentation.

Driver Eligibility
Drivers must be properly credentialed and complete any required orientation, training, or qualification before participating in on-track activities.

Technical Inspection
Vehicles must meet Club requirements and complete any required technical inspection before entering the Road Course.

Safety Equipment
Closed-toe shoes and appropriate safety attire are required for on-track activities. Helmets or additional protective equipment may be required depending on the vehicle or session.

Zero Impairment
Alcohol or any substance that may impair judgment, coordination, reaction time, or safe vehicle operation is prohibited before or during on-track participation.

Follow Staff Instructions
All directions from Club Staff, marshals, flags, lights, digital systems, and other official communications must be followed immediately.

Drive Predictably
Drivers must remain in control and operate their vehicles safely and predictably. The passing driver is responsible for completing every pass safely.

Session-Specific Procedures
Run groups, passing procedures, designated passing areas, point-by requirements, pit procedures, flags and signals, and other operating requirements may vary. Applicable procedures will be communicated during the driver’s briefing for each session.

Posted Rules Apply
Observe all posted speed limits, parking restrictions, access controls, and other posted rules throughout Club Premises.

Club Staff Have Final Operational Authority
The Road Course Manager and designated Club Staff control Road Course operations and may restrict participation or vehicle use when necessary for safety or operations.

GENERAL CLUB RULES

Conduct

Members, Membership Users, and Guests are expected to behave respectfully, responsibly, and safely while on Club Premises.

Violent, aggressive, abusive, threatening, coercive, or otherwise inappropriate conduct toward Club Staff, Members, Guests, or others is prohibited.

Members are responsible for the conduct of their Membership Users and Guests as provided in the applicable Membership Documents.

Alcohol, Cannabis & Other Impairing Substances

No person may participate in on-track activities while impaired by alcohol, cannabis, controlled substances, prescription medication, or any other substance that may affect safe vehicle operation.

Consumption of alcohol or other impairing substances is prohibited before or during on-track participation.

The Club may deny or discontinue participation when an individual appears impaired or otherwise unfit to participate safely and may require reasonable impairment or sobriety testing as permitted by the Membership Documents.

Hours & Facility Access

Club hours, Road Course availability, facility access, and activity schedules are determined by the Club and may change based on events, private rentals, maintenance, weather, safety considerations, or other operational needs.

Membership does not guarantee access to every Club Facility or activity at all times.

Parking & Facility Speed Limits

Vehicles may be parked only in designated areas.

Posted speed limits and traffic rules apply throughout parking areas, paddocks, pit lanes, staging areas, service roads, and all other non-track areas.

Smoking

Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarette use are prohibited inside Club Facilities and immediately adjacent to buildings.

Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.

Pets & Service Animals

Pets and other animals are not permitted on Club Premises.

Trained service animals are permitted as required by applicable law and must remain under the control of their handler.

Weapons & Fireworks

Members, Membership Users, and Guests may not bring firearms, weapons, fireworks, or explosives onto Club Premises.

Club-authorized security personnel and Club-approved professional displays are subject to separate requirements.

Waste, Automotive Fluids & Spills

Use designated waste receptacles and properly handle all oil, fuel, coolant, brake fluid, solvents, chemicals, and other automotive or hazardous materials.

Spills or leaks must be reported to Club Staff immediately.

Members are responsible for properly removing and disposing of their waste and automotive fluids unless Club-provided disposal facilities are expressly available.

Food & Beverage

Unless otherwise approved by the Club, food and beverage service on Club Premises is provided exclusively through the Club or its authorized providers.

Advertising, Solicitation & Commercial Activity

Advertising, solicitation, commercial activity, and use of Member contact information for solicitation are prohibited without prior Club approval.

Fundraising, Political & Religious Activities

Fundraising, political, or religious solicitation, events, distributions, postings, or organized activities on Club Premises require prior written approval from the Club.

Entertainment & Group Activities

Amplified sound, entertainment, organized gatherings, private functions, and certain group activities require prior Club approval.

Complaints & Suggestions

We take feedback seriously. Formal complaints, criticisms, or suggestions regarding Club operations or Club Staff should be submitted in writing to Club management.

Posted & Supplemental Rules

Members, Membership Users, and Guests must comply with posted rules, event-specific requirements, safety instructions, and directions issued by Club Staff.

The Club may establish additional requirements when necessary for particular activities, events, vehicles, or operating conditions.

CLUB ACTIVITIES & EVENTS

Club activities may include driving sessions, instruction, social events, recreational activities, competitive events, private functions, and other programming.

Activities are subject to availability and may require advance reservations or additional registration.

Private events, rentals, test days, special events, or other activities may temporarily restrict Member access to portions of the Club.

Members hosting approved private functions are responsible for their attendees and for compliance with applicable Club requirements.

ATTIRE & SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Appropriate attire is required while on Club Premises.

For on-track participation:

• Closed-toe shoes are required.

• Appropriate driving attire must be worn.

• Helmets may be required.

• Driving suits, gloves, restraints, or other protective equipment may be required depending on the vehicle or activity.

Specific safety-equipment requirements will be communicated for the applicable driving activity or session.

ROAD COURSE ACCESS

Driver Eligibility

Drivers must be authorized Members or Membership Users in Good Standing and properly credentialed for the applicable activity.

The Club may require a valid driver’s license, orientation, training, demonstrated experience, or other qualifications before granting Road Course access.

Waivers & Documentation

Drivers, passengers, and other Road Course participants must complete all required waivers, releases, registration, and documentation before participating.

Insurance

Drivers are responsible for maintaining insurance they consider appropriate for their vehicles and participation.

The Club does not provide insurance coverage for Members, Membership Users, Guests, vehicles, or personal property.

Passengers

Unless otherwise permitted by the Club, vehicles may carry no more than one passenger while operating on the Road Course.

Passenger eligibility, age, equipment, credentials, and session restrictions may vary.

Multiple Drivers Under One Membership

Unless otherwise approved by the Club, only one Membership User associated with a Membership may participate as a driver on the Road Course at a time.

ON-TRACK CONDUCT

Driver Responsibility

Drivers must operate their vehicles safely, predictably, and under control at all times.

Reckless driving, unsafe maneuvers, deliberate disregard of instructions, or conduct that creates an unreasonable safety risk may result in removal from the session or suspension of driving privileges.

Track Boundaries & Loss of Control

Drivers must remain within designated Road Course boundaries.

A spin, off-track excursion, loss of control, mechanical problem, or other incident may result in a required inspection, cool-down period, removal from the session, or other action determined by Club Staff.

Passing

The passing driver is responsible for executing every pass safely.

All drivers must maintain situational awareness and behave predictably.

Passing zones, point-by requirements, overtaking procedures, run-group rules, and other passing restrictions may vary by session and will be communicated during the applicable driver’s briefing.

Flags, Lights & Instructions

Drivers must immediately comply with all official:

• Flags

• Track lights and digital signals

• Marshal instructions

• Pit-lane instructions

• Verbal instructions

• Other communications from Club Staff

Drivers are responsible for understanding the signals and procedures applicable to their session before entering the Road Course.

Driver Briefings

Session-specific operating procedures will be communicated through the applicable driver’s briefing.

Briefings may address:

• Track conditions

• Run groups

• Pit entry and exit

• Passing zones and procedures

• Flags and signals

• Incident procedures

• Session timing

• Weather considerations

• Temporary restrictions

• Other safety or operational requirements

Drivers are responsible for knowing and following the requirements communicated for their session.

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

Technical Inspection

All vehicles are subject to applicable technical inspection requirements and Club approval before participating in Road Course activities.

Drivers are responsible for ensuring their vehicles remain mechanically safe and suitable for participation.

A completed inspection does not relieve the driver or vehicle owner of responsibility for the vehicle’s condition.

Club Inspection Authority

Club Staff may inspect a vehicle at any time and may restrict or prohibit its use based on mechanical condition, safety, configuration, noise, damage, or compliance with Club requirements.

Safety Equipment

The Club may require helmets, restraints, protective apparel, or other safety equipment based on the vehicle, activity, or session.

Cameras, Telemetry & Recording Devices

On-track cameras, recording devices, telemetry equipment, and similar equipment require Club approval.

Approved equipment must be securely installed and may be restricted based on mounting location, visibility, distraction risk, or other safety considerations.

WEATHER & TRACK CONDITIONS

Road Course activities may operate in varying weather conditions.

The Club determines whether conditions are appropriate for Road Course operations and may delay, modify, suspend, or cancel activities because of weather, surface conditions, safety concerns, or operational requirements.

Drivers must adjust their driving to current conditions at all times.

REGISTRATION & ACCESS

Everyone entering or participating in activities at the Club must comply with applicable registration, identification, credentialing, waiver, and access requirements.

Access may be restricted or revoked when these requirements have not been completed.

EMERGENCIES & CLUB AUTHORITY

During an emergency, safety incident, or threat to people or property, all individuals must immediately follow instructions from Club Staff and emergency personnel.

The Club may evacuate areas, suspend activities, close facilities, restrict access, or take other actions necessary to protect people and property.

Designated Club Staff have authority to administer and enforce Club rules and Road Course procedures.

Membership, access to Club Facilities, and participation in Club Activities remain subject to the applicable Membership Agreement, official Rules & Regulations, waivers, posted rules, policies, driver briefings, and other Membership Documents.

If this summary differs from an applicable Membership Document, the applicable Membership Document controls.

Rules, procedures, schedules, and operational requirements may be amended or supplemented by the Club as permitted under the Membership Documents.
