Motorsports Gateway Howell is thrilled to take you behind the scenes of our exciting journey from vision to reality through the eyes of our track engineering team, Driven International. We're happy to announce our feature in a captivating miniseries by Driven International, a renowned design and engineering practice based in the UK that specializes in the creation of sports, leisure, driving, and motorsport destinations. In their four-part series, they delve into the incredible transformation of our automotive club from vision and design to reality.
A Perfect Partnership
The story begins with how Motorsports Gateway Howell and Driven International joined forces. Driven International's extensive experience in Formula 1 and professional driving circuits made them the perfect partner. Shortly after introductions, our founders quickly realized the immense potential Driven International could bring to the project. In episode 1, Ben Wilshire, Managing Director of Driven International, describes how the founders presented their vision of an automotive district and how Driven quickly worked to push their vision into design.
A Step-by-Step Strategy
The miniseries takes a step-by-step approach, guiding you through the intricate process of making our automotive community a reality. It kicks off with the vision-to-concept design phase, where the project took its first breath. It then delves into the engineering design, where every curve and angle of the circuit was meticulously perfected. Driven utilized state-of-the-art simulations to experience and test our circuit’s design and demonstrate its features before we began construction.
From Blueprint to Reality
In further episodes, you'll witness the awe-inspiring pace of our construction phase. This is where the rubber met the road, quite literally. Driven International's adaptability and expertise has allowed us to make beneficial changes on the fly, ensuring the project is developed at an unprecedented pace without compromising quality. This flexibility also enabled us to make exciting changes to the South Circuit, including its extension and additional features, like the mini carousel.
A Team of Experts
Our partnership with Driven International allowed us to overcome unique challenges, such as safely incorporating track-fronting garage condos, minimizing wetland impacts and preserving natural ecosystems, all while optimizing the circuit’s overall design and length for our Drivers Club members. The team at Driven International is experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate about their work. Their adaptability and willingness to embrace our unconventional approach to construction has been integral to our rapid development.
