GUEST DRIVER INFORMATION
You’ve been invited to drive at Motorsports Gateway Howell. Here’s what you need to know before arriving for your track session.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
FIVE THINGS TO DO
Complete the required steps before heading to the track so you're ready when your session begins.

Confirm your invitation
Guest drivers must participate through an eligible Motorsports Gateway Howell Drivers Club Member and are subject to that Member's applicable guest privileges.

Complete your waivers
Complete all waivers, acknowledgments, registration materials and other documentation required by the Club before participating in on-track activity.

Prepare your vehicle
Your vehicle must satisfy applicable technical inspection and vehicle requirements before participating on track. Arrive with your vehicle ready for the demands of high-performance driving.

Bring required equipment
Bring all driver and vehicle safety equipment required for your session. Requirements may vary based on the vehicle, session or type of activity.

Review your session briefing
Review the session briefing provided for your session. It will contain the current procedures, restrictions and safety information you need before taking the track.

Procedures may change based on session format, driver group, vehicle type, track conditions, weather, safety considerations and other operational requirements.

WHAT TO EXPECT
YOUR FIRST SESSION
01 / CHECK-IN
ARRIVE & CHECK-IN
Follow the arrival and check-in instructions provided with your session information. Club Staff may verify your registration, credentials and required documentation before granting track access.
02 / ORIENTATION
GET ORIENTED
Guest drivers may be required to complete orientation, instruction, credentialing or other qualification requirements before participating in an on-track session.
03 / BRIEFING
SESSION EXPECTATIONS
Session format, staging, passing procedures, track communications, operating restrictions and other relevant information will be communicated through the driver's briefing and Club Staff.
04 / DRIVE
FOLLOW STAFF DIRECTION
Once cleared to participate, follow all staging, pit-entry, pit-exit, track communication and other procedures applicable to your session.
CORE REQUIREMENTS
EVERY DRIVER, EVERY SESSION
01 / ZERO IMPAIRMENT
ARRIVE READY
Never participate in on-track activity while impaired by alcohol, cannabis, controlled substances, medication or any other substance that may affect your ability to safely operate a vehicle.
02 / FOLLOW DIRECTIONS
STAFF AUTHORITY
Follow all instructions from Club staff, road course personnel and marshals, including verbal instructions, flags, lights, digital signals and other track communications.
03 / DRIVE PREDICTABLY
MAINTAIN CONTROL
Operate your vehicle in a safe, predictable and controlled manner. Maintain awareness of surrounding vehicles and drive within your ability and the conditions of the session.
04 / PASS RESPONSIBLY
PASS SAFELY
The passing driver is responsible for executing a pass safely. Passing procedures, restrictions or designated areas may vary and will be communicated in the applicable driver's briefing or by Club Staff.
05 / STAY ON COURSE
RESPECT LIMITS
Drivers are expected to remain within the designated driving surface and maintain control of their vehicle. Spins, loss of control or off-track excursions may result in session removal or additional restrictions.
06 / REPORT ISSUES
ADDRESS PROBLEMs
Mechanical concerns, fluid leaks, damage, incidents or other conditions that could affect safe operation should be reported promptly to Club Staff.
ONE RULE ABOVE ALL
FOLLOW INSTRUCTION.
Posted rules, operational procedures and Club Staff instructions apply at all times. When procedures vary between sessions, the relevant information will be communicated in your session briefing, driver's briefing or directly by Club Staff.

ENTERING & EXITING THE TRACK
Follow the pit entry, pit exit, staging and merging procedures communicated for you session. Always follow track signals and Club Staff direction.
FLAGS, LIGHTS & SIGNALS
Drivers must observe and immediately respond to all flags, LED panels, visual signals and instructions from track staff. Signaling procedures will be reviewed as part of the driver’s briefing.
PASSENGERS
Passenger participation is subject to Club requirements, required documentation, safety equipment and any session-specific restrictions communicated by the Club.
CAMERAS & EQUIPMENT
Cameras, recording devices, telemetry systems or other equipment used during on-track activity are subject to Club approval and applicable session requirements.
